Our Research
In November 2025, the StudyPulse Research Team published a longitudinal analysis of student performance on the platform. The study analysed 28,279 graded submissions from StudyPulse users, all on authentic VCAA past examination questions spanning 7 years of real VCE exams (2018-2024). Performance was difficulty-adjusted using z-score normalisation against official VCAA score distributions representing 50,000+ students per year.
Every question in our study is from an authentic VCAA past examination. No third-party materials, no practice questions with inflated difficulty.
We use z-score normalisation against official VCAA population data. A high score on an easy question and a high score on a hard question are weighted appropriately.

Every valid submission across all 11 subjects is included. No outlier removal, no selective reporting.
Students receive detailed marking against real VCAA criteria within seconds of submitting an answer. Research consistently shows that immediate feedback drives faster improvement than delayed marking.
