What students and teachers say
Real feedback from students and educators using StudyPulse to improve their results.
I wish this existed when I did VCE. I wasted so much time figuring out mistakes, but StudyPulse does it instantly. The mark breakdowns are exactly what you need to improve. Would've saved me hours of stress.
AbbyStudent, Mount Scopus
Honestly the best study tool I've used for VCE, the AI marking is insanely helpful and the mark breakdowns make it easy to see where I can improve. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to up their study scores!
ElliottStudent, Carey Grammar
Extremely impressed with the AI feedback, the mark breakdowns are so helpful. I actually don't know how you made it so effective and there is nothing to improve in my books. All the UI is amazing.
HenryStudent, Camberwell High School
I haven't seen anything like this before. The feedback is detailed, and it actually tells me what to fix. This is going to be so helpful for my 3/4 subjects this year.
DanielStudent, Trinity Grammar
StudyPulse has completely changed how I prepare for SACs. Instead of guessing what the examiner wants, I get specific feedback on every answer. My marks have gone up in every subject since I started using it.
SarahStudent, Year 12
The essay marker is a game changer for English. Students submit their analytical essays and get detailed feedback on structure, evidence use, and metalanguage in seconds. It's like having an extra teacher in the room.
Ms. RichardsonTeacher, VCE English
My students used to wait days for me to return practice exams. Now they get instant feedback on every question through StudyPulse. I can see from the dashboard exactly who needs help, and my marking load has dropped significantly.

StudyPulse supports KCSE for Form 3, Form 4. Questions and mark schemes are specific to each level so you're always practising the right material for your exams.
KCSE uses a 12-point grading scale from A (12 points) down to E (1 point), with plus and minus distinctions: A, A−, B+, B, B−, C+, C, C−, D+, D, D−, and E. Since 2023, your overall mean grade is calculated by KNEC from seven subjects: Mathematics (compulsory) plus the best one language (English or Kiswahili, not both) plus your five best remaining subjects.
Students must sit English and Kiswahili as compulsory subjects, plus Mathematics. Beyond these, students choose elective subjects from sciences, humanities, and technical fields to reach a minimum of seven subjects total. Many students register for eight or nine subjects to improve their chances, since KNEC takes the best seven for the mean grade calculation.
To qualify for degree programmes through KUCCPS (Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service), you need a minimum mean grade of C+ (7 points). Grades of C and below qualify for TVET diploma and certificate programmes. Competitive courses like Medicine and Engineering typically require much higher grades – often A− or A – plus strong performance in specific cluster subjects.
Cluster points measure your performance in the four specific subjects required for a particular degree programme, weighted against the top performers in your KCSE year. The formula produces weighted cluster points computed to three decimal places to minimise ties. Each degree programme has its own cluster of four relevant subjects – for example, Engineering considers Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. You can check your cluster points on the KUCCPS student portal.
After KCSE results are released, eligible students apply through the KUCCPS portal, selecting up to a set number of degree and TVET programme choices ranked by preference. KUCCPS places students based on their weighted cluster points, the available slots at each institution, and the student's ranked preferences. There is a revision-of-choices window where students can adjust their selections before final placement.
KCSE results are typically released by KNEC in January following the October–November exam sitting. Once results are out, KUCCPS opens the application portal for degree and TVET placement for the following academic year. Students receive their results via SMS and can also check them on the KNEC results portal. The KUCCPS placement cycle usually runs from February through May.
