What students and teachers say

Real feedback from students and educators using StudyPulse to improve their results.

I wish this existed when I did VCE. I wasted so much time figuring out mistakes, but StudyPulse does it instantly. The mark breakdowns are exactly what you need to improve. Would've saved me hours of stress.

Abby Student, Mount Scopus

Honestly the best study tool I've used for VCE, the AI marking is insanely helpful and the mark breakdowns make it easy to see where I can improve. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to up their study scores!

Elliott Student, Carey Grammar

Extremely impressed with the AI feedback, the mark breakdowns are so helpful. I actually don't know how you made it so effective and there is nothing to improve in my books. All the UI is amazing.

Henry Student, Camberwell High School

I haven't seen anything like this before. The feedback is detailed, and it actually tells me what to fix. This is going to be so helpful for my 3/4 subjects this year.

Daniel Student, Trinity Grammar

StudyPulse has completely changed how I prepare for SACs. Instead of guessing what the examiner wants, I get specific feedback on every answer. My marks have gone up in every subject since I started using it.

Sarah Student, Year 12

The essay marker is a game changer for English. Students submit their analytical essays and get detailed feedback on structure, evidence use, and metalanguage in seconds. It's like having an extra teacher in the room.

Ms. Richardson Teacher, VCE English

My students used to wait days for me to return practice exams. Now they get instant feedback on every question through StudyPulse. I can see from the dashboard exactly who needs help, and my marking load has dropped significantly.

Mr. Chen Teacher, VCE Business Management

Myanmar – Common questions

Yes, one account works across all 60+ curricula we support. Your progress, streaks, and subscription carry over automatically between curricula.
The matriculation exam consists of six subjects, each marked out of 100 for a total of 600 marks. All students take Myanmar, English, and Mathematics. Science-stream students add Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, while Arts-stream students take Geography, History, and Economics. Each paper is a three-hour written exam held over nine consecutive days in mid-March, with results released around June.
You need a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass. The overall national pass rate has historically been around 30–40%, though in 2025 it rose to about 48%. Passing the matriculation exam is the basic requirement for entering any university in Myanmar.
A distinction (gondu) is awarded when you score very high marks in a subject – generally 75 or above out of 100. Distinctions are critical because the Department of Higher Education allocates university places based on total marks and distinctions. Students with four or more distinctions are generally guaranteed placement at Myanmar's most selective institutions, including medical universities and top engineering universities.
The Department of Higher Education assigns students to universities and specialisations based on their aggregated matriculation marks and the number of distinctions earned. Students with the highest totals (close to 500–600 out of 600) gain entry to Medicine and top Engineering programmes. Students with fewer distinctions are allocated to other universities according to their total score and stream (Science or Arts). There is no separate university entrance exam – matriculation results alone determine placement.
Myanmar secondary students choose between the Science stream and the Arts stream in their final years. Science-stream students study Myanmar, English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Arts-stream students study Myanmar, English, Mathematics, Geography, History, and Economics. Some students may take a combined Arts-and-Science track. Your stream determines which university programmes you are eligible for – medical and engineering programmes require the Science stream.
Yes, students who fail can resit the matriculation exam in subsequent years. Many students retake the exam to improve their marks and distinction count, as higher scores open doors to more prestigious university placements. Private tutoring and exam preparation are widespread, reflecting the high stakes of this single national exam.
