What students and teachers say
Real feedback from students and educators using StudyPulse to improve their results.
I wish this existed when I did VCE. I wasted so much time figuring out mistakes, but StudyPulse does it instantly. The mark breakdowns are exactly what you need to improve. Would've saved me hours of stress.
AbbyStudent, Mount Scopus
Honestly the best study tool I've used for VCE, the AI marking is insanely helpful and the mark breakdowns make it easy to see where I can improve. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to up their study scores!
ElliottStudent, Carey Grammar
Extremely impressed with the AI feedback, the mark breakdowns are so helpful. I actually don't know how you made it so effective and there is nothing to improve in my books. All the UI is amazing.
HenryStudent, Camberwell High School
I haven't seen anything like this before. The feedback is detailed, and it actually tells me what to fix. This is going to be so helpful for my 3/4 subjects this year.
DanielStudent, Trinity Grammar
StudyPulse has completely changed how I prepare for SACs. Instead of guessing what the examiner wants, I get specific feedback on every answer. My marks have gone up in every subject since I started using it.
SarahStudent, Year 12
The essay marker is a game changer for English. Students submit their analytical essays and get detailed feedback on structure, evidence use, and metalanguage in seconds. It's like having an extra teacher in the room.
Ms. RichardsonTeacher, VCE English
My students used to wait days for me to return practice exams. Now they get instant feedback on every question through StudyPulse. I can see from the dashboard exactly who needs help, and my marking load has dropped significantly.

StudyPulse supports SEAB for O Level, A Level. Questions and mark schemes are specific to each level so you're always practising the right material for your exams.
O-Level subjects are graded A1 (best) through F9 (fail), with each grade corresponding to a point value: A1=1, A2=2, B3=3, B4=4, C5=5, C6=6, D7=7, E8=8, F9=9. A grade of C6 or better is considered a pass. Unlike most systems where higher is better, O-Level aggregate scores aim to be as low as possible. The O-Level exams are jointly administered by SEAB and Cambridge Assessment International Education.
L1R5 stands for one Language 1 subject (typically English) plus five relevant subjects. Your L1R5 aggregate is the sum of points from these six subjects, so a lower score is better. To qualify for Junior College (JC), students currently need an L1R5 score of 20 or below. From 2028, this changes to L1R4 (one language plus four relevant subjects) with a cut-off of 16 or below, as part of the transition to the new Secondary Education Certificate.
Local universities (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD) use a University Admission Score (UAS). From the 2026 University Admission Exercise onward, the UAS is based on a 70-point system: your three best H2 subjects (up to 20 points each) plus your best H1 content subject or General Paper (up to 10 points). H2 grade points are A=20, B=17.5, C=15, D=12.5. Project Work is now pass/fail and does not contribute to the UAS.
H1 (Higher 1) subjects are studied at half the curriculum time of H2 and cover breadth. H2 (Higher 2) subjects are the main A-Level subjects studied in depth, typically three or four per student. H3 (Higher 3) subjects are advanced extensions for exceptional students, offered in partnership with universities or as independent research. Most university admission scores are calculated from H2 results plus one H1 subject.
Yes. The last Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level exams will be held in 2026. From 2027, all Secondary 4 students will sit for the new Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC), which unifies the current O-Level, N(A)-Level, and N(T)-Level tracks into a single national certificate. Students will take subjects at different Subject-Based Banding levels (G1, G2, G3) rather than being placed in fixed academic streams.
IGPs are published annually by NUS, NTU, and SMU showing the 10th-percentile grade profile of the previous year’s admitted cohort (meaning 90% of admitted students scored better). For example, NUS Medicine and Law typically require near-perfect scores (AAA/A at H2/H1). Engineering and business programs generally require profiles around ABB-AAB. NUS offers a 2.5 rank-point bonus if you list an NUS course as your first choice. Check each university’s latest IGP as cut-offs change annually.
