What students and teachers say
Real feedback from students and educators using StudyPulse to improve their results.
I wish this existed when I did VCE. I wasted so much time figuring out mistakes, but StudyPulse does it instantly. The mark breakdowns are exactly what you need to improve. Would've saved me hours of stress.
AbbyStudent, Mount Scopus
Honestly the best study tool I've used for VCE, the AI marking is insanely helpful and the mark breakdowns make it easy to see where I can improve. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to up their study scores!
ElliottStudent, Carey Grammar
Extremely impressed with the AI feedback, the mark breakdowns are so helpful. I actually don't know how you made it so effective and there is nothing to improve in my books. All the UI is amazing.
HenryStudent, Camberwell High School
I haven't seen anything like this before. The feedback is detailed, and it actually tells me what to fix. This is going to be so helpful for my 3/4 subjects this year.
DanielStudent, Trinity Grammar
StudyPulse has completely changed how I prepare for SACs. Instead of guessing what the examiner wants, I get specific feedback on every answer. My marks have gone up in every subject since I started using it.
SarahStudent, Year 12
The essay marker is a game changer for English. Students submit their analytical essays and get detailed feedback on structure, evidence use, and metalanguage in seconds. It's like having an extra teacher in the room.
Ms. RichardsonTeacher, VCE English
My students used to wait days for me to return practice exams. Now they get instant feedback on every question through StudyPulse. I can see from the dashboard exactly who needs help, and my marking load has dropped significantly.

Yes, there's a free tier with 3 daily practice submissions, basic AI feedback, 15 AI Tutor messages, and leaderboard access. Premium unlocks 1,000 daily submissions, full question bank access, advanced feedback, handwritten answer scanning, and essay marking from $20/month.
Our AI is trained specifically on WAEC mark schemes and examiner reports from Nigeria. It understands the precise language and criteria examiners use, so feedback is accurate and actionable, not generic advice that could apply to any curriculum.
Yes, one account works across all 60+ curricula we support. Your progress, streaks, and subscription carry over automatically between curricula.
WAEC uses a nine-point scale: A1 (Excellent, 75–100%), B2 (Very Good, 70–74%), B3 (Good, 65–69%), C4 (Credit, 60–64%), C5 (Credit, 55–59%), C6 (Credit, 50–54%), D7 (Pass, 45–49%), E8 (Pass, 40–44%), and F9 (Fail, below 40%). For university admission purposes, only grades A1 through C6 count as credit passes.
You need at least five credit passes (grades A1–C6) including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings of the WASSCE. Some courses require credits in specific subjects – for example, Medicine needs credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. In the 2025 WASSCE, about 63% of candidates achieved five credits including English and Mathematics.
WAEC (West African Examinations Council) administers the WASSCE, which is your secondary school leaving certificate exam. JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) administers the UTME, which is a separate university entrance exam scored out of 400. You need both: WAEC credits prove you completed secondary school, while your JAMB score determines which universities and courses you can apply to. Universities combine both results when making admission decisions.
The official JAMB cut-off for universities is typically 140–150, but this is just the minimum to be considered. In practice, competitive federal universities like UNILAG, UI, and ABU require 200–290+ depending on the course. After JAMB, most universities also conduct a Post-UTME screening test, and your final admission depends on a combination of your JAMB score, Post-UTME performance, and O-Level (WAEC) results.
Yes. The WASSCE is administered across five West African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia. Results are recognized by universities throughout West Africa and are accepted by many international institutions, though some may require additional qualifications or standardized tests. UK universities, for example, typically accept WASSCE credits alongside other requirements.
Grades D7, E8, and F9 are not credit passes. If you fall short on required subjects, you can re-sit individual subjects in the next WASSCE or through the WAEC GCE (a private-candidate version of the exam held in January/February and August/September). Universities accept results combined from up to two sittings, so you don’t have to re-sit all subjects – just the ones you need to improve.
